Introduction to types, specifications and characteristics of stainless steel wire mesh corrugated packing
Stainless steel wire mesh corrugated packing is also known as metal wire mesh packing, wire mesh packing, wire mesh corrugated packing, stainless steel corrugated packing, stainless steel packing, and stainless steel structured packing.
Stainless steel wire mesh corrugated packing models: CY, BX, AX;
Stainless steel wire mesh corrugated packing standard number: HG/T21559.3-2005
The main specifications of stainless steel wire mesh corrugated packing materials are: 60 mesh 1M*30M, 50 mesh 1M*30M, wire diameter: 0.15MM/0.12MM. We can customize certain special styles according to customer requirements.
Stainless steel wire mesh corrugated packing materials: stainless steel 304, 321, 316, 316L, 321, 310S, 904L, 347, 2205, 2507, S30408, S30403, S31603, S31608, S32168, S31008, copper, aluminum, pure titanium, molybdenum titanium, Hastelloy, Monel, Inconel, nickel-chromium alloy, nickel-copper alloy, etc.
Stainless steel wire mesh corrugated packing is composed of several parallel upright meshes woven with stainless steel wire. The corrugation direction of the mesh is at a certain inclination angle (usually 45°) with the tower axis. The inclination direction of the corrugation of the two adjacent pieces is opposite, so a triangular cross-section channel network that intersects and penetrates each other is formed between the corrugated meshes. The meshes assembled together are hooped with a belt-shaped wire mesh to form a cylindrical disk. The diameter of the packing disk should be slightly smaller than the inner diameter of the tower by about 2mm, so that it can be loaded into the tower without crowding. When the packing is loaded into the tower, the mesh directions of the upper and lower plates of packing are 90 degrees, and the packing forms a uniform geometric pattern arrangement in the tower, which stipulates the gas-liquid flow path, improves the channel flow and wall flow phenomenon, and plays the role of packing.
Performance of stainless steel wire mesh corrugated packing: The performance of stainless steel wire mesh corrugated packing mainly depends on: a large specific surface area (m2/m3 packing layer); the liquid has a good uniform distribution performance on the surface of 700Y wire mesh corrugated packing; the airflow can evenly distribute the seasoning in the packing layer and has a large porosity (m3/m3 packing layer). Under the same operating conditions, the larger the specific surface area of 700Y wire mesh corrugated packing, the more uniform the gas-liquid distribution, the better the surface wetting performance, and the higher the mass transfer efficiency. The larger the porosity of the packing and the more open the structure, the greater the flux and the lower the pressure drop. The fuzzy mathematical method was used to evaluate the performance of nine commonly used packings. The wire mesh corrugated packing has a better overall performance, while the Raschig ring has a worse performance.
Structural features of stainless steel wire mesh corrugated packing:
1. Large specific surface area, high porosity and light weight;
2. The gas phase passage has a small inclination angle and a regular gas phase passage, resulting in less pressure loss and lower packing pressure drop;
3. Good radial diffusion and sufficient gas-liquid contact;
4. Avoid clogging, corrosion, and difficulty in cleaning, and can only be cleaned by chemical methods.
5. The unit volume filler has a high cost, which limits its scope of use.
The main geometric parameters of the wire mesh corrugated packing that determine its mesh are:
1. Wire diameter and mesh number: The diameter of stainless steel wire in foreign countries is generally about 0.16mm, woven into a 80-mesh wire mesh; domestically, the wire diameter is generally 0.10~0.25mm, and the corresponding wire mesh is 80~40 mesh. The thickness of the wire mesh is determined by the wire diameter. Generally, the thickness of the stainless steel wire mesh is 0.10~0.25mm. The peak height and peak distance are generally taken as about 2 times the peak height. The size of the peak height directly determines the porosity e, specific surface area a, and bulk density P of the filler.
2. Tooth shape and tooth angle: The tooth shape of the wire mesh corrugated packing is an isosceles triangle, and the recommended tooth angle is 75 degrees to 90 degrees.
3. Corrugation inclination angle: The inclination angle of the corrugation edge to the tower axis, generally 30* (commonly known as X-type) and 45* (commonly known as Y-type).
4. Opening: Generally, small holes are punched on the corrugated sheet. The hole diameter is preferably 4~5mm, the hole spacing is about 10mm, and they are mostly arranged in a regular triangle. The opening rate is 5.6%~18.4%.
5. Plate height: determined by the height of the packing tray; usually 40~300mm, depending on the tower diameter.
